Lamb Pastry Triangles with Feta

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ onion
  • 300 g lamb mince
  • 1 tsp. coriander
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 50 g feta cheese
  • 1 pk puff pastry
  • 1 egg yolk

Heat the oven to 200°C/392°F. Melt the butter on a medium hot pan. Dice the onion and garlic and soften in the butter. Add in the lamb mince along with the spices. Mix well and let the meat brown nicely. Crumble the feta cheese and combine with the mince. Cut the puff pastry into squares, around 6 cm x 6 cm. Place 2 teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto half of the square, folding the other half over to form a triangle. Close the edges by using a fork. Arrange the triangles on a baking tray with parchment paper before brushing them with the egg yolk. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden.
